"Terrific Event! Chef Kaori was fun, professional, and organized. My team all had a great time learning how to make mochi, and even inventing some new flavors...
Highly recommended for a teambuilding event. " - E. Porter from Verlocal.com |
"Fun, hands-on class with Kaori and her mom. Kaori thoroughly explained all of the ingredients we were working with and we enjoyed a delicious soup with mochi, too. Our take-home containers of mochi treats are sure to be enjoyed by our friends and family if we can resist eating all of the delicious creations ourselves!" -Janet from Verlocal.com

"Kaori is a wonderful instructor. I really loved being able to learn how to make mochi from her. There was a lot to taste and learn! We got to taste a Japanese new years mochi soup, which was a yummy and nourishing soup for the soul. And then we got a hands on experience making 3 types of mochi we got to take home...I look forward to taking more from her." -H. from Verlocal.com

"I LOVED this class with Kaori. Kaori and her mother were so sweet and laid-back. It was so fun to learn how to make mochi and taste different kinds. What is most important to me when I take cooking classes is feeling like I can make it when I get home. I felt that way and can't wait to take another class with Kaori! :)" -Diane from Verlocal.com

"Kaori's ramen class was fantastic. Everything was delicious, and Kaori was patient and knowledgeable about making ramen. She gave tips on how to make it easier, and I learned a lot that I will be trying at home. The broth, the tare, the toppings, and the ramen were so fresh and flavorful. I would love to take another class from Kaori. Also, Kaori had some mochi available as a snack during the class, and those were divine. I would definitely try her mochi class too."
-Buffy P. from Yelp "The Ramen class was [the] third class I have taken with Kaori. Like the others, I had a fantastic time. The three things you would expect from a good cooking class are: (1) Technique Tips and Tricks, (2) Hands on experience, and (3) Leaving with the confidence that you can recreate the dish at home. Kaori's classes have all of those components with the bonus of eating what you make at the end! She is easy going and approachable. She is always friendly and you never feel judged in the class. This was my first time making a pasta from scratch despite being an experienced cook and now feel confident that I could recreate this dish at home. I look forward to my next class with Kaori!"
